Stainless Auger

A vendor of the Taylor Ice Cream Machine company asked Joe to perfect a method to grind and polish the stainless augers used in the ice cream machine. This company was looking for a faster way to put a # 4 finish on these parts. Using a Spacesaver abrasive belt machine Joe was able to reduce the process from 4 steps to only 3 steps while acquiring a better finish. The finish shown on the right is a US # 8 produced on the same Spacesaver using the CLEO BUFF-BELT with Matchless 921 buffing compound as the last step.
